It looks like this year’s stART on the Street ‘Canal District Spring Edition’ is shaping up to be largest for the thoroughly fun event taking place in Worcester on Sunday, June 2nd, on Green Street from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.!
In partnership with stART on the Street, the Central Mass Film Festival is kicking things into overdrive with a weekend of fun, fashion, music and films in the heART of Worcester.
The weekend kicks of with the premiere of ‘Girls Night Out‘ on Friday, May 31st, which was produced and filmed in Worcester, at the International Lounge, located at 27 Pleasant Street in downtown Worcester.
The fun continues with the Steampunk Film & Fashion Show taking place on Saturday, June 1st at The Lucky Dog Music Hall, which features looks and clothing styled by area artist and Steampunk aficionados (Looks by Redfield Design and Individual Designs. Music by Mizz Kitsune.)
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the fashion show starts at 7 p.m.
Following the fashion show is the screening of the film “Steam Driven“: A romantic interest, wrought with peril, blossoms between two factory workers from a war torn alternative, parallel universe (Directed by Mike Marchand & Elvis Diaz).
There is a $7 cover charge and live music begins after the movie and features Roberta Mandella & The Issues with guests Vigilante Blue.
And, on Sunday, June 2nd, while stART on the Street is taking place on both Green and Harding Streets, join us at Crompton Place, located at 138 Green Street, for a day of amazing trailers, short films and feature films from writers, producers and directors.
This is a FREE event and doors open at 10:30 a.m. and the first screening begins at 11 a.m.
So, as you can see, there is no shortage of things to do this coming weekend in Worcester as we celebrate spring and Worcester being the MAJOR city that it is!
